Daisy Dawson is on Her Way - 3.3 stars
This is a book about a little girl named Daisy that suddenly was given the power to converse with animals. A butterfly bestowed this power after Daisy saved him from a spider's web. Although this power could be distracting (like when an ant needed a ride outside while Daisy was supposed to be going to the principal's office), ultimately Daisy bonded with most of the animals and even attempted a night time rescue of her favorite pal Boom.
Best suited for 5-8 year olds
Sabine - 4 out 5 stars. "I like that she was interested in animals. My favorite part was when she got to see Boom after he was rescued."
Lourdes - 4 out of 5 stars. "I really liked when MeadowSweet jumped over the fence and startled the mean pound owner. My favorite part was when Daisy got the power to speak to the animals."
Finnegan - 3 out of 5 stars. "I'm giving this 3 stars because I didn't like how Daisy was too focused on saving every single thing (like an ant). But I liked that Daisy at least cared about animals."
